Group Commander

Lt. Col. Harry Coleman is the Commander, Group 4 of the Minnesota Wing of the Civil Air Patrol, United States Air Force Auxiliary. In this role, he is responsible for the command and administration of more than 290 volunteers, six powered aircraft, six vehicles, and a couple of gliders across southern Minnesota.

Lt. Col. Coleman began his CAP career while he was stationed at McConnell AFB in Wichita Kansas. He joined Wichita First Composite Squadron back in 1984, starting as a Leadership Officer and moving up to Deputy Commander for Cadets. In 1989 he assumed the role of Deputy Commander for the Ramstein Cadet Squadron while stationed at Sembach Air Base in Germany. He took a break from CAP for a few years. In May of 2010, he joined South East Minnesota Composite Squadron. 

Lt. Col. Coleman has a Master Rating in Cadet Program and Professional Development Specialties, Senior Rating in the Personnel and Command Specialties, Technician Rating in the Communications Specialties. He is a qualified Mission Observer, Scanner and Mission Radio Operator.
